Q1
How do I renew a prescription when I am away from my usual provider?
A1
This one is pretty simple. Call your doctor and ask them to send the prescription to a local pharmacy (they can send prescriptions across state lines)
Q2
Who do you ask if you feel you need your medication changed/ you need new medication?
A2
The doctor you are currently getting your medication from would be the first place to go to inquire about a change. If you feel your doctor is not making the right decision for you, you can switch to a new specialist and get their opinion on the matter. If you feel you need a new prescription go to your primary care provider for a referral. If you do not have a primary care provider you can specifically call the department of medicine that your prescription would fall under. For example, if you needed birth control pills you could go to an OBGYN or a planned parenthood to receive a prescription.
